I am originally from New England, where most of my training and experience has been obtained. I have extensive experience in various arenas, both Academia and Clinical ranging from Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care and Pre-Hospital Medicine. I have spent the last 15 years as a Critical Care Flight Nurse/Paramedic.
I have continued my education and advanced to the practice as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Cardiology.
My approach to patient care is to place the patient at the center of the team.
A trusting relationship is the foundation of my practice.
I like to involve patients in the decision-making process regarding their cardiac care.
Whether we are deciding with medications to start or what advanced therapies to pursue, I always tell patients that they know themselves better than I do, and we will work together as a team to determine their plan of care.
